In Super Bowl history, the results have been almost split. Tails has been the result 29 times, with heads coming up the other 25 times. Tails has been the result in six of the last seven years since Super Bowl XLVIII. I like TAILS to continue that hot streak, because after all, tails never fails. Also see: 2021 Super Bowl prop bets: Which team will win the coin toss? Chiefs -105 Buccaneers -105. As the road team, the Chiefs will call the toss Sunday. In their eight away games this season, the Chiefs were 4-4 calling the toss. When they won the flip, they chose to defer all four times. As for the Buccaneers, they won the toss four times in their four home games when the other team called the flip. In three of those wins, they deferred, opting to receive in Week 17 against the Atlanta Falcons. It’s a toss-up (pun intended), but I’m leaning CHIEFS (-105) here to win the toss and defer. Super Bowl 2021: Vegas Betting Odds, Updated Moneyline for Chiefs vs. Bucs. Featured Columnist January 29, 2021 Comments Comment Bubble Icon. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have carried tremendous value on the moneyline in their past two games. Brady and Co. will be the underdog for the third consecutive contest in Super Bowl 55 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Just like the matchups with the New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers, Brady's counterpart will be a Super Bowl champion. Patrick Mahomes enters Raymond James Stadium with a 6-1 postseason record. The only loss was to Brady and the New England Patriots two seasons ago. Mahomes has won two regular-season showdowns with Brady, including one in Week 12 of this season, but to cash in on his team's favorite status, he has to outplay the six-time Super Bowl champion inside the Bucs' home stadium. Super Bowl 55 Odds. Spread: Kansas City (-3) Over/Under: 56.5. Tampa Bay is the better play on the moneyline since it is playing inside its home stadium, has Brady at quarterback and, most importantly, has underdog value. The Buccaneers went 5-3 at Raymond James Stadium and scored over 25 points in each of their victories. In the past three weeks, Tampa Bay has eclipsed the 30-point mark against the Washington Football Team, Saints and Packers. If the Bucs score at a similar rate on February 7, they should be in a good position to cash underdog moneyline tickets. However, a victory on home soil will not come easy against a team that went into Florida and controlled the first half of the Week 12 showdown. Mahomes and Tyreek Hill were unstoppable in the opening 30 minutes of that clash, and Hill ended up with a career-high 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Kansas City's defense limited Tampa Bay to seven first-half points, and it was able to hold off a late surge from Brady and land a three-point victory. Any string of defensive stops should quell the threat posed by the six-time Super Bowl champion. In Tampa Bay's three home defeats, it scored fewer than 25 points each time. The Los Angeles Rams held it to 24 points, and the Saints did not allow a touchdown in Week 9. By Kansas City's standard, the Week 12 contest was a low-scoring affair. The Chiefs went over the 30-point mark on five occasions on their travels. Even if the Chiefs are held under that threshold by the Tampa Bay defense, they have proved that they can win games in which they score around 25 points. Kansas City scored 22 points in its divisional-round victory over the Cleveland Browns, and it produced 23 points during Mahomes' first victory against Brady in 2019. While the Chiefs have less value than the Buccaneers on the moneyline, they are still worth a money-line bet because they are at a much cheaper price than they were throughout the regular season, when they were favored by a touchdown or more on a regular basis. Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach EPL Sunday Free Pick Tottenham Hotspur Goal Line -1 -114 vs West Bromwich Albion @ 7 AM ET - The Hotspur have been hurt badly by the absence of Harry Kane but here they will take advantage of hosting a West Bromwich club which has only 2 wins in 22 matches this season and which has allowed a league-high 52 goals! Facing the club which has conceded the most this campaign will certainly help Tottenham get back on track on their home pitch here even without Kane. Of course that is why the Hotspur are 2 to 1 favorites on the 3-way money line. That said, where the value can be found is with the goal line as Tottenham can be had for a very small price at -1 goals. Of course a 1-goal win would be a push and is not the desired result but don't be surprised when the Hotspur win this match by 2 or more goals. Also, we avoid the risk of laying the huge price on the money line. Jose Mourinho is commanding a response from his club here and I strongly believe the manager will get it. Free Pick TOTTENHAM Goal Line -1 -114. Sunday NHL Free play. My selection is on the 'over' between Philadelphia and Washington at 12:05 pm et on Sunday. I'm anticipating a high-scoring affair on Sunday afternoon in Washington as the Flyers look to bounce back from consecutive losses on home ice against the Bruins. Philadelphia was held to a single goal in its most recent contest but had scored at least three goals in five straight games prior to that. The Capitals are coming off back-to-back losses in which they allowed a whopping nine goals. They do draw a favorable matchup here as the Flyers have generally had a tough time keeping the puck out of their own net this season with goaltender Carter Hart in particular struggling to find some consistency. Expect offensive fireworks on Super Sunday. Take the over (8*). Sean's 216-172 NFL run continues with his 10* Super Bowl LV winner featuring the Chiefs vs. Bucs on Sunday! Oregon Sports Betting. Oregon joined the growing list of states with legal online sports betting in the US in August 2019 . It is the only sports wagering app available in the state, as the Oregon Lottery controls all betting on sports. No betting on college sports is allowed in Oregon. The first sportsbook launched at Chinook Winds, a tribal gaming facility, in September 2019. Latest Oregon sports betting news. Oregon Governor Ready To Ditch Lottery Sports Betting Model. The app is available for download via the Oregon Lottery website. You must have a compatible smartphone or device in order to use the Scoreboard app. Sportsbooks at Oregon casinos. Tribes in the state are the only ones allowed to offer casino gaming in Oregon. Sports betting at Oregon bars and lottery retailers. It seems likely that any place that sells lottery games — from instant tickets to video lottery terminals to keno — will be able to offer Oregon sports betting. There are thousands of places that offer video lottery, while most convenience stores offer traditional lottery games. It’s not clear how many of these locations will end up offering legal sports betting, however. Oregon sports betting FAQ. Is sports betting legal in Oregon? Yes. You can wager via the Scoreboard app anywhere within the state. A tribal casino launched a sportsbook in August 2019, and an app in the state launched in October. When the Supreme Court struck down the federal sports betting ban in 2018, it freed the states to make their own choices about whether to offer sports wagering. Oregon’s oversight body, the Oregon Lottery, said that it already possessed the legal authority to introduce sports betting in the Beaver State . It says that its authority derives from the PASPA exemption that both federal and state government extended for Sports Action , its original sports betting product from many years ago. There has been no real pushback on that idea other than a short-lived legislative effort that died. Oregon offered a multi-game parlay game called Sports Action from 1989 to 2007. Though the state lottery commission discontinued the game under pressure from the NCAA , there was never any explicit prohibition of Oregon’s sports betting activities on the federal level. Who oversees Oregon sports betting? The Oregon Lottery administers sports betting within the state. That includes oversight of the sports betting contract with SBTech and the Scoreboard app. Where can I bet on sports in Oregon? You can bet statewide via the Scoreboard app from the Oregon Lottery. At this point, one tribal casino also offers a retail sportsbook: Chinook Winds. You must be physically within the borders of Oregon in order to place a wager. You do not need to be a resident of Oregon to wager in the state but you must be located in the state, which your phone will verify via geolocation technology. Beyond the ability to bet online, any lottery retailer is a potential location for a sports betting kiosk. It’s also likely that other tribal casinos around the state will eventually add sports betting to their offerings. Can I bet on any sports in Oregon? While pro sports are available for wagering, there will not be any betting on college teams at all in the short term. That means fans of the University of Oregon Ducks and Oregon State University Beavers will not be able to bet on their teams in football, basketball and other sports. That also means betting on March Madness — the men’s college basketball tournament — will not be allowed either. The ban on college betting appears to be tied to the fact that lottery proceeds benefit higher education in the state. Who can apply for an Oregon sports betting license? No one can, at this point. However, given the Lottery’s comments about its commitment to its retailers, it is likely the gaming locations in the state will be able to offer the lottery sports betting product via kiosks. These aren’t so much “licenses” as places allowed to offer the lottery product. Can I bet on sports on my phone in Oregon? Yes, you can bet on sports through the Oregon Lottery’s Scoreboard app. You must be connected to the Internet in order to legally wager in Oregon. Who can bet on sports in Oregon? Anyone 21 years or older will be able to bet via the Lottery app. How much revenue does Oregon sports betting generate? None, however, the Lottery’s own commissioned report suggests that sports betting revenues could exceed $100 million by its third year of operation. Oregon sports betting timeline. 2018: Oregon Lottery releases app in the wake of PASPA demise. In May 2018, the US Supreme Court ruled that PASPA is unconstitutional. The ruling opens the door for states to legalize sports betting if they choose to do so. The Oregon Lottery debuts its own app for mobile devices. The app is initially available for iOS , but will soon be compatible with Android devices, too. At first, the app only allows lottery players to check their tickets for whether they won or lost. However, the Oregon Lottery makes no effort to hide that backend development to support both online gambling and sports betting play is going into the program’s design. 2005: Oregon discontinues Sports Action due to NCAA pressure. The state legislature, weary from over a decade of lost economic impact, bows to pressure from the NCAA. It passes a bill to discontinue Sports Action by 2007. The game ceases after the 2007 Super Bowl. The NCAA almost immediately awarded Portland with a spot as an early-round tournament site, hammering home the rationale behind the discontinuation. 1992: PASPA passes, but Sports Action gets a waiver. The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) becomes the federal law of the land. By and large, sports betting is made illegal throughout the United States. However, there are a few exemptions granted to states with existing sports betting activities. The most notable of these exemptions is Nevada, which effectively gained a monopoly on sports betting in the country for 18 years. Oregon was another state to enjoy an exemption. Sports Action is permitted to continue under PASPA. 1989: Sports Action debuts and draws external protests. The Oregon Lottery introduces Sports Action, a lottery game that functions like a sports parlay game. Players can wager on a set of NFL games and win based upon those games’ outcomes. The list of available games expands to include NBA games. However, perhaps due to the presence of the Portland Trail Blazers in-state, the NBA protests its inclusion into Sports Action. The Lottery discontinued the NBA portion of the game after one year. Somewhat nonsensically, the NCAA protests Sports Action’s presence, despite the fact that wagering through Sports Action did not occur on NCAA contests. Nevertheless, the collegiate governing body vows never to allow one of its lucrative NCAA basketball tournament sites to reside in Oregon as long as Sports Action remained.

The total for December was just under $ 27 million, the month-over-month increase was 29.5%. The January grip was the highest since Oregon launched mobile sports betting in October 2019. Oregon was $ 200,000 below its highest turnover ever. This is a very positive sign for Oregon state betting officials. Oregon's total sales for 2020 were $ 218.2 million, representing sales of $ 20.1 million. 2020 was the first full year for legal sports betting in Oregon, so year-round data is not available to compare. Basketball was the highest-stakes sport in January, followed by soccer. These two handles were $ 17.4 and $ 10.3 million, respectively. Soccer ($ 2.5 million), table tennis ($ 1.7 million), and hockey ($ 1.1 million) were the second highest grabs in the state. Oregon was the first state in America to report its January numbers. New Oregon House Bill. Oregon has a very limited sports betting market. Governor Kate Brown began changing the current sports betting market in Oregon. It did so by soliciting House Bill 2127's proposal. House Bill 2127 would make the Oregon Racing Commission the state's new sports betting regulator. This change would increase the number of operators across the state. Bettors would have the option of betting on other betting platforms in addition to the ScoreBoard app. The ScoreBoard app is a step behind many of the top betting companies in the US. ScoreBoard's monopoly did not force them to improve their product in any way. The ScoreBoard app would still be available in the state, but many bettors would likely turn away from the platform. In a single platform market, it is very surprising that the grip is increasing massively. That surge in Oregon gave House Bill 2127 a better chance because it shows lawmakers that a bigger market will pay dividends. ScoreBoard has had too many problems to keep the state bettors happy. There is a desire in Oregon for improved sports betting.

There are plenty of sports fans who are loyal to a specific kind of sports and don’t have any interest in betting on role-playing games. This is where fantasy sports betting comes in. It provides a way for sports fans to continue pursuing their sport of choice, but just in a slightly different way. They are still afforded the excitement of following matches and leagues but don’t have to rely on sporting events going ahead. After all, it’s impossible to predict how real-life sporting events will be impacted by the ongoing pandemic. This winter is set to be tough and with many countries bracing themselves for a second wave, we could see events being shut down once again. Setting up a fantasy betting site. CBS4 Sports Anchors Jim Berry & Mike Cugno On Same Page With Super Bowl LV Picks. MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Super Bowl LV sees the returning champ Chiefs take on the Buccaneers, who have the home field advantage. So just who will win between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers? CBS4 Sports Anchors Jim Berry and Mike Cugno answered that very question. “Patrick Mahomes… Patrick Mahomes… and Patrick Mahomes.” Berry is putting his money on Super LIV MVP Patrick Mahomes to lead his Chiefs to a second straight title. “As a quarterback, he is simply on another level. He leads an offense that is incredibly explosive. They can score in bunches, and it seems almost impossible to keep up with them,” he said. “The Chiefs have a lot of weapons, and they do just enough to keep you off balance.” But it’s not all offense that Berry is banking on, and he concedes it’s no guarantee Kansas City will run away with the game. “The Chiefs defense is also better than it’s given credit for,” he said. “Tampa Bay will need Kansas City to make some uncharacteristic mistakes. If they can keep the game close, Tom Brady is clutch enough to lead them to an upset. I just think Kansas City is simply too good.” CBS4’s sports gurus aren’t butting heads this year. Cugno also thinks Andy Reid’s squad is in for a repeat, in more ways than one. “For the second time this season the Chiefs will top the Buccaneers,” Cugno said. Tampa was Cugno’s dark horse to make the Super Bowl, so let’s not bet against his judgement. As for why the Chiefs win, he believes, “The sheer number of weapons on Kansas City will be hard to overcome. Tyreek Hill will have another big game against the Bucs, but Patrick Mahomes repeats as Super Bowl MVP.”

In 1983, Mike Warren’s Formula for Winning was captured in one of the first handheld computers, THE MIKE WARREN FOOTBALL ANALYZER, an algorithm that combined hard data with Mike’s “gut instincts” for winning. It was the MOST SUCCESSFUL robot device in the history of sports betting…. …But, it was too successful! As Mike Warren notes, “The analyzer gave the true strength of the teams playing each other and predicted a final score. It was so accurate that beating the spread was easier than taking an Oreo from a 2-year-old, but the linesmakers wised up and began to adjust the spreads when ‘Analyzer Money’ hit. I had to take it off the market because who got down late after the lines changed either had ‘no play’ or had lost their edge.” AND THEN MIKE RETIRED FROM THE GAME. After a nearly 40 year winning run, the “Wizard of Winning” retired. He’s been just picking games for himself and friends the last few years. But even then, his reputation was so strong and no one from the generation of handicappers could equal his record so he was sought out by many anywhere he went, from the movies to the grocery store to a restaurant or inside a sports book. He couldn’t stay retired, it seems. Everyone wanted Mike Warren’s picks on college and NFL football. His national contact list at training camps and stadiums around the country was still intact, his data base was updated by math wizards and, of course, he never lost his own innate sense of making “the right choice” between 2 teams. AN ACCIDENTAL MEETING SPARKS A NEW BEGINNING. A few years ago, a team of Computer Science “genius” students from a major university broke the code for crushing the tables in Las Vegas at blackjack, poker and baccarat. They turned the “House’s advantage” into a liability. Using sound mathematical models they knew when to bet “strong,” when to back off and when to pass. Over the course of a year, they took MILLIONS each from casinos in Las Vegas and helped to put out the lights in more than one Atlantic City venue. This ‘cartel’ for all the cash then turned to betting professional football and working on a system to beat the spread. They focused on such esoteric mathematical theories as “advanced regression equations and advanced analytic hypotheses using modern technology often reserved for NASA projects. Gradually they developed their own proprietary algorithms to beat the spread. But, their system lacked something—a soul, a “gut instinct for winning. Yes, it had the raw data and a way to analyze it, but unlike cards or dice, which have no peaks and valleys, football is played by human beings and they were stymied by the often erratic play that was either way above or way below a team’s usual performance. MIKE WARREN IN THE SPORTS BOOK. In their research, the students had studied some of the great handicappers and when they spotted Mike Warren in a Las Vegas sports book they jumped at the opportunity to talk to the man who created the “Theory of Peaks and Valleys,” which states that when a team play with extra emotion and over its collective head that there is a strong likelihood of a letdown and fall off in efficiency the next week. Comparing their notes, Mike Warren’s knowledge and the Football Analyzer equations, this new “partnership” created the IWIN SYSTEM. IWIN BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT THIS FORMULA DOES—WIN! **Predicts a Final Score That Can Be Compared To the Spread **Rates a Chance of Winning from 70% to over 92% **Provides Money Management Principles Based on % BETA TESTED AT 80% WINNERS 2012 AND 2013 IN THE NFL. Starting with the National Football League, the IWIN SYSTEM was 36-7 in 2012, 84%. In 2013, that number dipped slightly to 41-11 during the regular season, 78.8%. The 2 year average was better than 80%. And, 2013’s testing of College Football was nearly as good, 93-37 or 71.5%, which is pure profit. The difference between college and pro stems from the uneven competitiveness of many teams and the fall off in talent between the 1st string and substitutes when injuries occur.

There are a few different formats of UFC betting odds , and we will briefly outline each one, even though American odds are the most popular in the United States. American UFC Betting Odds. In terms of UFC betting, the positive number represents how much you would win on a $100 bet on the fight’s underdog, and the negative number would represent how much you’d have to bet to win $100 if you chose the favored fighter. When it comes to calculating the probability of winning a fight - there really isn’t a rule for American odds, so it’s easier to convert your odds to decimal. Now that you have your decimal odds, we can help you calculate your winnings and implied probability. Decimal UFC Betting Odds. As we mentioned, decimal UFC odds are way more common in Europe - and sometimes even in the United States, some sports bettors do prefer them because they’ve been around longer. Decimal odds are your odds multiplied by your stake, then subtract your stake. 9.0 odds would be calculated as (9.0 * $10) - $10 = $80 in winnings. 1.25 would be (1.25 * $10) = $10 = $2.50. To calculate your implied probability of winning, you essentially divide 1/decimal odds which is 1/ 9.0. This will give you an implied probability of 11.11%. Implied probability is an important part of your UFC betting strategy and will help you improve your chances of winning in the long term. Fractional Betting Odds. How did you do in math as a child? If you were a math whiz in school, you’re well on your way to understanding fractional UFC betting odds . If you see a fractionated number, like 10/1, this means someone has a ten to one chance of winning the match. This way, you can calculate their probability of winning the fight from the fractional odds. The formula looks like this: B/(A+B) = % So, how much will you win on fractional UFC betting odds? It’s pretty simple actually. For every value on the right side of the fraction you wager, you will win the left. So 9/1 odds - for each $1 wagered, you will win $9. 1/ 4 odds - for each $4 wagered you win $1. Top Online Sportsbooks for UFC Betting. Calculating the implied probability in negative American odds is fairly straightforward: So in our example, the Bulls are at odds of -140 to win the game. What is the implied probability of these odds? So the implied probability of the Bulls winning the game is 0.5833, or 58.33%. In this case, the bookmakers see the Bulls as a 58.33% chance of winning the game. Value bets. As stated earlier, the key to successful betting is to bet only when there is value. In our example, we should only bet on either the Bulls or the Lakers if we determine that they are a better chance to win the game than what the odds represent. If we believe the Lakers are a better chance to win than 43.48%, we should bet on them. If we believe the Bulls are a better chance to win than 58.33%, then likewise, we should bet on them. Understanding betting odds is crucial to long-term betting success. Possessing an intimate grasp of betting odds and their implied probabilities is fundamental to profitable betting. See real odds at online sportsbooks. At many sportsbooks, you’re free to see the odds no matter what state you happen to be in. However, you can only place real money bets at online sportsbooks odds if you’re located in states that have legal sports betting. However, if you want to bet on horses, you’re more in luck there! Many states allow for online horse racing betting and you can see odds at most of the big horse racing tracks around the world. Betting Against The Odds. In Summary: Betting Odds Explained. Betting odds represent the probability of an outcome occurring and the return (profit) you will receive if your bet is a winner. It could be the likelihood of all of your final four betting picks being correct. The probability represented by betting odds is often referred to as the ‘implied probability’. Understanding the implied probability is crucial. Why? Because you should only bet when you believe the probability of an outcome occurring is higher than the implied probability. But if you would like to learn more about betting odds and alternative odds formats, try this odds converter. Let’s consider an example. Let’s say the New York Giants are facing the Washington Redskins in a regular season NFL game. The Giants are at odds of -110 to cover the betting line of -3.5 points. The probability implied in the odds -110 is 52.4%. You’ve done your research and have determined the Giants are a 60% chance to cover the -3.5 betting line. As 60% is greater than 52.4%, you have found what is commonly referred to as a ‘value bet’. However, if following your research you determined that the Giants are only a 45% chance to cover the -3.5 points betting line, the implied probability of the odds is greater than your determined probability. You have not found a value bet and should not place a bet on the Giants.

Preakness Stakes odds: Gambling on horse racing explained. Want to get in on the Preakness Stakes betting action but don't know what any of it means? We've got you covered. Ah, the Preakness Stakes -- one of the most celebrated and anticipated horse racing events of the year. This year -- one flipped upside down because of the coronavirus pandemic -- is no different. If you aren't exactly sure how it all works, don't you worry -- we're here to help you get up to speed. If you don't particularly understand the process or the terminology of betting (we know it can be a bit confusing), we've got you covered with a handy cheat sheet. An important disclaimer, though: Knowing the terminology doesn't guarantee you success in your wagers. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss . and profitable. Anyway, here's a rundown of the terms you'll want to be familiar with: BET TO WIN: Well, this one is pretty self-explanatory. You're betting on a horse to win the race. BET TO PLACE: You're betting on a horse to finish either 1st or 2nd in the race. BET TO SHOW: You're betting on a horse to finish either 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the race. EXACTA: You're betting on both the 1st and 2nd place finishers in a race. TRIFECTA: You're betting on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in a race. SUPERFECTA: You're betting on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishers in a race. DAILY DOUBLE: You're betting on the winners of two separate races. PICK 3: You're betting on the winners of three consecutive races. PICK 4: You're betting on the winners of four consecutive races. PICK 5: You're betting on the winners of five consecutive races. PICK 6: You're betting on the winners of six consecutive races. Obviously, some of those are more challenging endeavors than others so, as is always the case with gambling, play the odds at your own peril.

Preakness Stakes 2020: Post expert's prediction. This is who will win the Preakness. Texas will win handily beat this Big 12 rival. An inside look at how the 145th running of the Preakness Stakes will shape up: Excession (30-1) Trainer: Steve Asmussen. Jockey: Sheldon Russell. Current Form: Calumet colt hasn’t been seen since March when he ran home a surprising second at 82-1, only ³/₄ back of Nadal in the Rebel. 1-for-9 overall. Worth a Wager? A bit ambitious, no? Trying to win the Preakness off the extended layoff? Should be as effective as Chris Wallace at the debate. 10th. Mr. Big News (12-1) Trainer: Bret Calhoun. Jockey: Gabriel Saez. Current Form: Finished 10 lengths behind Art Collector in the Blue Grass but ran home a strong third at 46-1, about 3 lengths back of Authentic in the Derby. Worth a Wager? Looked like Mr. was ready to make Big News turning for home but flattened late at Churchill Downs. Can see him racing evenly for seventh. Art Collector (5-2) Trainer: Thomas Drury. Jockey: Brian Hernandez. Current Form: Versatile colt has won five in a row, scoring from on and off the pace. Powered by the pace-setting Swiss Skydiver in the Blue Grass. Worth a Wager? Think fast, Brian Hernandez. Jock will have to decide whether to put him in the game early or let others do the dirty work and run at Authentic late. Believing he runs early, lands third. Kentucky Derby winner Authentic being ridden by jockey John Velazquez. AP. Swiss Skydiver (6-1) Trainer: Ken McPeek. Jockey: Robbie Albarado. Current Form: Filly has the most starts this year (eight, winning four). Sandwiched a victory in the Alabama around a pair of second-place finishes in the Blue Grass and Kentucky Oaks. Worth a Wager? She’s got legs and knows how to use them early. Only lady in the field is also only horse other than Authentic proven at distance. Tires to fourth. Thousand Words (6-1) Trainer: Bob Baffert. Jockey: Florent Geroux. Current Form: Won a 100K wire-to-wire at Del Mar, snapping a three-race losing streak. Earned speed fig, 104, that is only topped by Authentic’s 105. Worth a Wager? Look out Bob Baffert! Was all set to run for the roses but flipped in the paddock and was scratched. Trainer applies blinkers and makes a rider change to Geroux. Argues early, retreats. Fifth. Jesus’ Team (30-1) Trainer: Jose D’Angelo. Jockey: Jevian Toledo. Current Form: Claimer has proved competitive. Checked in fourth in the Haskell to Authentic, second in the Pegasus to Pneumatic then third in the Jim Dandy. Worth a Wager? Always shows up, but in the end he has a claiming win. Does long shot have a prayer? Even with help from above he’s last of 11. NY Traffic (15-1) Trainer: Saffie Joseph. Jockey: Horacio Karamanos. Current Form: New York-bred gray was defeated by Authentic in his last two starts. Got beat by a whisker in the Haskell but was outrun at Churchill Downs. Worth a Wager? Ran boldly, taking serious aim at Authentic in the Haskell but came up short. Derby was discouraging, so we will place him sixth. Max Player (15-1) Trainer: Steve Asmussen. Jockey: Paco Lopez. Current Form: Only horse in field to compete in all three jewels. Showed third in the Belmont behind Tiz the Law, then fifth in the Derby, finishing with good energy in both. Worth a Wager? Watch the board. Speed wins at Pimlico, but this deep closer may get his table perfectly set and take aim at fast fractions up top. Winner. Authentic (9-5) Trainer: Bob Baffert. Jockey: John Velasquez. Current Form: Assumed his position on the lead, was confronted by Tiz the Law, then shrugged him off to win the Derby. Champ is 5-for-6 overall. Worth a Wager? Why not? Won the Roses under a perfectly executed ride by John Velazquez and the Preakness is shorter. Thinking Johnny V will have company and a difficult time rationing speed. Putting our Derby winner second. Pneumatic (20-1) Trainer: Steve Asmussen. Jockey: Johnny Bravo. Current Form: Ran home a non-threatening fourth to Tiz the Law in the Belmont. Rebounded, defeating a suspect field in the Pegasus under Jersey Joe Bravo. Worth a Wager? There was a good reason why he was the 4-5 favorite in the Pegasus. Stalker may be going backwards late. Ninth. Liveyourbeastlife (30-1) Trainer: Jorge Cabrera. Jockey: Trevor McCarthy Current Form: Moved to the Jim Dandy off an allowance win and rallied to get second money, ³/₄ of a length ahead of Jesus’ Team. Worth a Wager? Ghostzapper colt may be a beast stretching longer but may be overmatched. Eighth.

The Rise Of eSports Betting. The year 2020 has been one like no other, in pretty much every sense of the phrase. Nobody could have anticipated the interruption of basically every live of sport that is out there, and during those many sporting lockdowns across the globe, punters who still wanted to have a bet, needed to look for a new product or alternative. To fill that gap, along came e-sports, which have practically dominated the sports betting market for the second half of 2020. Punters have been getting involved in wagering on several different games that are available in the e-sports betting markets, with the likes of bet365 and many other of the biggest brands in the UK , offering odds on the likes of League of Legends and Call of Duty. What’s more, eSports betting isn’t just here in Britain, and it’s a trend that is gaining momentum everywhere in the world. Much like the game of football, these eSports are open to individuals all over the globe, and attract betting interest from far and wide. Another angle that is truly pushing this trend is the means by which e-sports feel like something new to the betting community. Certainly, they’ve been around for a while for games, yet for the betting public it has that freshness and fervor that makes more punters want to try it out. You only need to look at the 2019 Fortnite World Championship challenge for instance, which in viewing figures alone attracted over 1.8 million hours of viewed content. That is extraordinary when you consider it already has to compete against different sports and events, such as the Premier League. However, what sets it apart from the rest is that there can always be a new game released to market. Plus, the way that watchers can view all of the different games or sports across various gadgets and devices, is simply helping to drive this trend to new levels. In-play Betting Boom. Ever fancied placing a bet once the action has started, or wanted to change your mind on a bet? Well, now the option is available with in-play betting part of most online sportsbooks. Not every person is thinking five strides ahead, which is why in-play betting has become an ever-growing trend in the gambling industry . Let’s be honest, in our busy lives where everybody is rushing about, the in-play experience fits well into the way of modern life for most individuals. That is mainly thanks to the advances in technology, which allow the latest odds to appear within seconds of something happening in an event, and be able to place a bet at the click of a button. Not only does that attract the everyday punter, but it also opens up sports betting to a whole new growing audience.
College Football Odds, Betting Lines and Point Spreads. Compare College Football Odds, lines and point spreads from Vegas style sports books daily. Odds and lines explaintions for all of tonights games below. Check back during the season for odds, lines and point spreads. COLLEGE FOOTBALL POINT SPREADS EXPLAINED: While the NFL is the most wagered upon sport in North America, college football is the most exciting brand of football you can watch on TV. The passion these kids play with is second to none and the century old rivalries amongst some of college's elite programs makes that one game a season sometime mean so much more than a national title. Since Michigan is generally out of the CFP discussion by November, there game against Ohio State is the be all and end all of their season. Michigan wants to beat Ohio State so badly, that some of the fan base would be considered there season a success if that's the only marquee win on the schedule. If you don't know some of the history of college football, I suggest looking into it. If you are like everyone else who reads this piece and want to understand how to bet on the basic college football options, you can keep reading. If you are a little more seasoned, you can skip down to the advanced wagering options by clicking here. If you want to know how to lay a few bets down on the futures market, I suggest you click here. Betting on the Money Line in College Football. As a concept, this is the simplest wager you can make on any game in any sport. The money line betting option allows you to place a bet on the team you think is simply going to win the game. In college, this bet includes overtime. Unlike the NFL, college football games cannot end in a tie due to their overtime format. The money line betting odds correlate to the listed point spread. In this example, Alabama are the favorites and you must wager $450 dollars to turn a profit of $100. If you are a homer or love betting on the underdog, the Wildcats will return you $300 for every $100 you wager on them if they pull off the upset. Betting on the Point Spread. Regardless of if I am talking about the NFL, CFL, NCAA, Arena League or upcoming XFL, the point spread is the most popular wagering option for bettors who love to test football betting skills. The point spread is an indication of which team is the favorite and underdog heading into their matchup. When looking over betting options for the college football, you will come across lines that look like the following: Depending on which side you select, your team must "cover the spread" in order for your wager to be graded a winner. If you decided to wager on Alabama as -7.5-point favorites, they must win by eight or more points in order for wager to be graded as a winner. One thing to keep in mind when betting on the point spread is that the point spread moves up or down depending on how much action a certain side is receiving. If you are able to lock in your bet at -7.5 and the line goes down to -5.5, your ticket would only be a winner if your team won by eight or more points. If they won six or seven, they would have beat the closing spread of -5.5, but your odds are locked in from the time your ticket is printed or you click place bet. Betting Game Totals. Despite being classified as the same sport, NFL and college football totals are apples and oranges. In college, it's easy to spot the teams that play absolutely zero defense. The scores from their games are typically in the 70's/80's on a consistent basis. In the NFL, there were only a handful of games that games that reached those totals. College football is more receptive to the spread offense, which is why sportsbooks have no choice but to inflate totals to try and cover their own butts. Let's look at an example of a game total: Texas Tech Red Raiders/Oklahoma Sooners – "Over" 78.5 -110, "Under" 78.5 -110. If you bet the "over" 78.5, there must be a total of 79 points or more scored in the game in order for you to be a winner. If there are 78 or fewer points scored, then those who bet on the "under" will cash their tickets. If totals are whole numbers such as 78 or 80 and the total happens to land exactly on the number, your bet, regardless whether it's an "over" or "under" bet, will be graded as a push and your money will be returned to you. Advanced College Football Wagering Options. Advanced wagering options in college football are nearly identical to those of the NFL. The only thing you will not find in a sportsbook in relation to college football is the "First Touchdown Scorer or Anytime Touchdown Scorer" market. Below are some of the more popular wagering options. This works almost exactly like the game total, but revolves around one team instead of both. With the "team total" wagering option, you are essentially betting on whether you think Team X will score more or less than the line given out by the sportsbooks. Texas Tech Team Total: "Over" 35.5 -110, "Under" 35.5 -110. In this case you have two options. You can bet them to score 36 or more points or 35 or fewer. The decision is ultimately up to you. This bet also includes overtime, unless otherwise stated in the betting rules provided by your sportsbook of choice. First Half Spread. The "first half spread" betting option is a trickier form of betting the full-game point spread. This option takes into account the score at half time in order to determine a winner. The first half spread is usually half of what the full game spread is. Depending on what side you are on, the score going into half time is what is used to determine a winner. If the score is 31-21 in favor of Alabama, bettors holding an Alabama -3.5 1H ticket are winners since they were able to cover the -3.5- first-half spread. As I mentioned above, the first half point spread is typically half of what the full game line is. There are only a handful of sportsbooks that offer up player props in college football, but they are nowhere near as extensive as the NFL player props. Typically, there will be props offered on one or two superstars per team and the lines will typically be inflated depending on who is playing. Jalen Hurts: "Over" 18.5 completions -110, "Under" 18.5 completions -110 Nick Chubb: "Over" 74.5 rushing yards -110, "Under" 74.5 rushing yards -110 Calvin Ridley: "Over" 4.5 receptions -110, "Under" 4.5 receptions -110. For each of these three player prop options, each player must go "over" or "under" the posted line. If you think Hurts will complete at least 19 passes, you would take the "over". If you think Ridley will be held to four or fewer catches, you would bet the "under". A futures bet is a wager placed in the time leading up to the start of the event on a team or player that you believe is going to win their respective competition. Heading into the 2018/19 College Football season, the CFP futures odds look like this: In order for you to successfully cash your ticket, you must correctly choose the team that will hoist the CFP trophy at the conclusion of next year's College Football Playoffs. Team Win Totals. This is another popular type of futures bet amongst pro handicappers. The concept is straight forward. Every sportsbook will put out a "win total" for every team long before the season begins. Handicappers must simply decide whether they believe that team will exceed the posted win total or fall short of it. Alabama Crimson Tide Win Total: "Over" 11.5 wins -110, "Under" 11.5 wins -110. If Alabama wins at least 12 games, the "over" would cash. If they win 11 or fewer, the "under" would cash. Check back often as these Football Odds will be updatedevery 5 minutes Powered by OddsShark. NCAA College Football Odds: Point Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under. With sportsbook going mainstream in the US, most people turn to major sports leagues like the NFL, NHL, and MLB for their gambling fix. However, betting on NCAA college football games is also gaining popularity among bettors and sports fans. After all, most bettors who try their luck on NFL sports betting place their stakes on NCAA Football as well. You can bet that the Texas A&M Aggies will win against the Arkansas Razorbacks during the SEC. But did you also know that you could make other kinds of bets too? PAC-12 QUARTERBACK BATTLE ODDS. Utah starting quarterback vs. Arizona. Oregon starting quarterback vs. Stanford. Washington starting quarterback at Cal. Colorado State starting quarterback vs Wyoming. — The above odds are for entertainment purposes only — HOW TO READ NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL ODDS. If you want to bet on NCAA college football, you should first know how to read sports betting odds. College football odds will usually look like this: Date and Time – Date and time of the game Rotation Number – teams are assigned standard rotation numbers used by all bookies. Rotation numbers list matchups in order. It also lets bettors make their wager without mentioning the game or the teams that are playing. This makes it easier for gamblers who are placing bets on land-based sportsbooks because they only have to refer to the rotation number(s). Team – Visiting Teams are always listed first, with home teams listed second. This information is useful for bettors since home teams have the advantage of their home court over visiting teams, so they almost always win. If Syracuse Orange is up against the Florida State Seminoles, the first team listed will be playing in the second team’s home court. American Odds. Odds can be listed in either fractional, decimal, or American odds. In the United States, the majority of sportsbooks use something called “American Odds.” This is used in all kinds of sports betting, from the NBA to even the UFC. American odds are characterized by negative and positive signs and numbers. Mainly, American odds show players how much money they can win versus how much money they bet, and which teams are favored to win. Note that American odds always use a standard amount of $100 to make gambling a lot easier to understand. Negative signs indicate that a team is favored to win, while positive signs indicate that the team is the underdog. However, do take note that sometimes there’s no favored or underdog team. When that happens, the groups are simply listed as EVEN or PICK. HOW TO CALCULATE NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL ODDS. – or negative odds also show how much you have to bet to win $100. The Memphis Tigers have odds of -150 in their matchup with the Cincinnati Bearcats. This means that they are the favored team to win the game. It also shows that you have to bet $150 to win $100. If you proceed with betting on the Memphis Tigers and win, you will get a total payout of $250. This means that bettor can win $300 if he bets $100 on the Louisville Cardinals. The total payout would be $400. Why are you getting bigger winnings by betting on +odds? It’s because they’re the underdog team, and in the bookmakers’ eyes, they’re most likely to lose. So, bookies devised this system for bettors to still gamble on the underdog by offering a substantial winning payout if they do. More risks, more rewards. However, sports gamblers can actually make bets of any amount they want! Although American odds use the standard of $100, beginners can always use odds calculators when placing and calculating wagers. HOW TO BET ON NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL ODDS. Moneyline. The moneyline is the simplest to understand and easiest to do in all of football betting. Basically, the moneyline lets you wager on which team you think will win the game. Sports gamblers can make moneyline bets during the regular season and even post-season or bowl games. In this example, the Buckeyes are the favored team, while Indiana Hoosiers are the underdog. For the underdog, betting $100 and winning the wager, can you get $140 in profit, with a total payout of $240. However, calculating the odds for the favored team is a bit more complicated. In this example, betting $100 on the favored team and winning the wager can get you a profit of $58.88. Obviously, the sportsbook will provide an odds calculator that will do the mathematics for you, and will help you understand the following: Bet $100 on Ohio State Buckeyes who have odds of -167 Bet = $100, Odds = 167 Ratio: Odds/100 = 167/100 = 1.67 Win: Bet/Ratio = 100/1.67 = $58.88! So yes, sportsbooks don’t put random numbers on the odds of every bet. They are carefully calculated by studying the factors that could lead to a game’s result. Again, betting on the underdog gets you higher winnings because it involves higher risk. Point Spreads. The Point Spread is a bet that’s popular not just with NCAA college football, but with all of sports betting. Essentially, point spreads are betting lines that give the underdog team an advantage. Instead of betting on the likely winner, sportsbooks will list a margin of points called the spread. For the winning team, these are a range of points they should exceed to win the bet and “cover the spread”. For the losing team, these are a margin of points they can lose by and still win the bet or cover the spread. Take, for example: Here, the spread is 6.5 points. The favored team, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, must win by more than 6.5 points by the end of the game to cover the spread and win the bet. Meanwhile, the underdog team North Carolina Tarheels must lose by less than 6.5 points to cover the spread and win the bet. If they lose the game by 3 or 6 points, the bet is won! If they manage to even beat Wake Forest and win the game, you also win the bet! However, if they lose by 7 points to the Demon Deacons and fail to cover the spread, you lose the wager. Note that -110 simply means that if you bet $110 and won the wager, you’ll get $100 in profit. Over/Under or Totals. The Over/Under or Totals bet lets you wager on whether the game’s total amount of points will go “over” or “under” a certain amount. The sportsbook will set a total combined number of points they think both teams will score by the end of the game. Team Name Totals Penn State Nittany Lions O 60.5 Pittsburgh Panthers U 60.5. If you think that the game will end with more than 61 total points, then bet on “over” (O 60.5). But if you think that by the end of the game, the total points will be less than 60, choose “under” (U 60.5). Sports betting sites put half-points or a .5 in case a “push” happens. For example, a game between the Oregon Ducks and Arizona Wildcats resulted in a combined score of exactly 60 points. A push is when the total score doesn’t go over or under. When that happens, the bookie will have to refund your money. Parlay. Parlays are one of the riskier but fun types of college football betting. Essentially, bettors can merge multiple wagers into one ticket to get potentially higher winnings. In short, it’s putting multiple bets into one major wager. For you to win a parlay, all of your bets must also win. It’s an example of high risk, high reward type of gamble. For example, you want to bet on the moneyline between a matchup of the Oklahoma State Sooners and Iowa State Cyclones. But you also want to bet on the point spread for Clemson Tigers vs. Boston College Eagles, and Boise State Broncos vs. Air Force Falcons. Not to mention totals on Wisconsin Badgers vs. Michigan Wolverines and Georgia Bulldogs vs. Baylor Bears. You can combine all these wagers into one major bet. If you win every single one, you will also win the parlay! However, if you lose even one bet, you won’t be able to cash in your ticket. Futures. Futures bets are wagers on events that are yet to happen. Examples of these include wagering on who bettors think will win the National Championship, Playoffs, or even the Heisman Trophy. Futures odds will look a bit different compared to other college football odds: The higher the team’s chances of winning, the shorter the odds. In the table above, Alabama Crimson Tide has a higher chance of winning the National Championship than the LSU Tigers and USC Trojans. However, the payoff is enormous when you bet on the USC Trojans, and they manage to recover from their slump and win the championships. Betting $100 can give you a shot at a $20,500 win!

Top Sports Betting Movies of All Time – 2021 Review. Today, sports betting is a legitimate pastime for millions of people around the world, but back in the day sports betting was mostly a shady activity, especially in the US. The entire world of sports betting makes for some amazing stories and this gave birth to a number of fantastic sports betting inspired movies. We took a trip down memory lane of the world’s cinematography and found 7 of the best movies ever made that had sports betting and bettors in the focus. If you are fascinated with the world of gambling and all it brings with it, here are a few movies you may want to watch as one of the pastimes during the coronavirus pandemic . The Color of Money. There are quite a few cautionary tales out there warning the viewers against gambling of any type but The Color of Money is not such a movie. Instead, this 1986 movie is a psychological drama that delves deep into the identity and emotions of professional gamblers of the 80s, who were quite unlike pros we see today who often only bet online as seen at BettingBilly . Starring Tom Cruise and Paul Newman, The Color of Money is absolutely star studded and a masterpiece in its own right. The movie follows the couple who play a master bettor and his apprentice as they journey through the gambling underworld of the time and face both gambling and life dramas along the way. Casino. The title of this 1995 Martin Scorsese masterpiece may make you think that the movie is not about sports betting at all, but this is quite the opposite of the truth. The film looks at young Frank “Ace” Rothstein, one of the best odds makers who ever lived. This real world figure was recognized for his skill and allowed to basically run Las Vegas during the 1970s, when gangsters owned this gambling paradise from the ground up. Casino portrays a realistic and dark image of the early Las Vegas that was organized and run by some of the most dangerous people in USA at the time. Like most Scorsese’s films, Casino looks deep into the characters involved and portrays each of them as a real human being with passions, fears and desires. If you want to see a true masterpiece and love sports betting, casino and gangster related movies, Casino is one you don’t want to miss out on. Two for the Money. The story is based loosely on the character of Brandon Lang, a college athlete who turns into a sports handicapper. Lang starts off doing a boring telemarketing job that seems to be getting him nowhere, but his talents at picking winners in football matches get the attention of Walter Abrams, who helps him make it big as a handicapper. The movie starts two of the all-time greats, Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey, making it one destined for greatness. Two for the Money looks into the emotions and the ups and downs of sports bettors and does not deal with the mechanics of betting as some of the other movies that touch on the subject do. Two for the Money may just be one of the most insightful films looking into the highs and the lows of the professional sports betting lifestyle. If you are thinking of trying to bet on sports more seriously, this film may just be the motivation one way or the other. Eight Men Out. Sports betting is often associated with game fixing and throwing and Eight Men Out is a film about one of the greatest such scandals in history, the 1919 World Series. This real world MLB scandal saw eight members of the Chicago White Sox banned from MLB for life due to throwing the Series Finals. The movie’s association with sports betting is the fact the Series was thrown for sports betting interests. The White Sox were greatly favored by the bookies and their elimination over the eight game series made the group that paid them off a substantial profit. Charlie Sheen and John Cusack star in the movie as two of the young players who decided it was worth throwing the Series due to disputes with the club owner. The movie looks at both sides of the medal without any assumptions and portrays a realistic image of the event as well as an unbiased look at all the involved parties. Smart Money. The worlds of sports betting and stock market are often paralleled by many and the main protagonist of Smart Money, Jimmy wants to become a stock broker himself. In order to do so, he decides he will acquire the starting capital and money he needs to get his license by joining an illegal sports betting syndicate. While this sounds like a good idea to Jimmy early on, things start to take a turn for the worst really fast and he is faced with make it or break it decisions he wasn’t hoping for. The thrilling drama takes the viewers to the edge and is certainly worth a watch. The Gambler. Loosely based on the 1867 novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Gambler is a tale of Alex Freed, an English professor who enjoys basketball and gambling just a little bit too much. Despite having a great life and family, Alex ends up in massive gambling debts over betting on basketball games and extends the problems by borrowing money from his own mother. The drama only gets more complex when the main protagonist talks a young basketball player to cheat for him, which instead of resolving his problems only makes matters worse. Can Alex turn his life around or does it all end badly, you can find out by having a look at the actual picture. Let It Ride. Anyone familiar with sports betting and gambling also knows about hot and cold streaks and how people may believe in them just a bit too much. Let it Ride is an amazing movie about a cab driver who accidentally gets his hands on a great horse racing tip which he uses and makes a fortune at the track. However, the drama does not end here, as the cabby played by Richard Dreyfuss keeps on gambling and starts to win even more. Will he end up broke and without any of his winnings or is he going to break the bank? Watch Let it Ride to find out!

Entertainment Betting. Online entertainment betting is wagering on anything you can find in the entertainment industry, from award shows like the Grammys and Oscars to television shows like Game of Thrones. Similar to sports betting, odds show which event is likely to happen, or who is favored to win the bet. HOW TO BET ON ENTERTAINMENT. Betting on entertainment events, like the next winner of a reality show, is similar to wagering on sporting events like the Superbowl. First off, there are no gambling sites that are solely entertainment betting sites. Sportsbooks usually offer the best entertainment odds for bettors in the same fashion as sports betting. Bookmakers in the United States always present entertainment odds in the American odds format. American Odds. Sports betting sites calculate a bet’s odds based on factors that can affect its likelihood of happening. For example, for the Oscars, you bet that the movie that wins Best Picture will also win Best Cinematography. The probability of that happening will be calculated by oddsmakers, and presented in the American odds format: Same Film to Win Both Best Picture and Best Cinematography. A negative figure shows how much you have to bet to win $100 . It also shows you the favored outcome. The positive figure , on the other hand, shows how much you can win if you bet $100. Conversely, it shows the underdog or the outcome that’s least likely to happen. In the example above, if you wagered “yes” and that bet wins, you can get a total payout of $240 ($100 bet plus $140 profit). Meanwhile, betting on “no” gets you a total payout of $280 ($180 bet plus $100 profit). Note that it’s safer to bet on “yes” rather than “no” because it involves you wagering a lower amount ($100 vs. $180). Remember that American odds use a standard base of $100 to make gambling a lot easier. However, bettors can still wager any amount of money they want! As for banking options, the most common payment methods are e-wallets and credit cards, and, more recently, cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. TYPES OF ENTERTAINMENT BETS. Television Shows. There are many entertainment betting options available on online sportsbooks. One of the most common is betting on television shows, which there are several ways to do. For example, the hit HBO series Game of Thrones was popular among bettors before it concluded its run. Many gamblers speculated on who would end up sitting on the Iron Throne: Who will win the Game of Thrones? This is an example of a futures bet, which is also a type of wager done in sports betting. Basically, a futures bet involves gambling on events that are yet to happen. In the example above, it’s clear that Jon Snow has the highest chance of winning the bet because he has the shortest odds. In futures betting, the higher the odds, the lower the chances of winning are. If you were to bet on Jon Snow and he ended up sitting on the Iron Throne, you would get a total payout of $400 ($100 bet plus $300 profit). However, if you were to bet on Sansa, you would end up with a total payout of $700 ($700 bet plus $100 profit). If you bet on Dany and lost the bet, you’d get $0, losing your $100 wager. However, if the Mother of Dragons wins the Iron Throne, you’d get a whopping $1000 payout ($100 bet plus $900 in profit). You could also make prop bets or propositional bets, not just for TV Shows but for all types of entertainment bets. Prop bets, like Futures bets, are also offered in sports betting. These bets are more unconventional than the usual wagers and involve betting on specific individuals or events. For example, in the professional wrestling show WWE Raw, you can bet on whether a match between John Cena vs. Randy Orton will have the longest ring time or not. This is likely to happen since both are veteran wrestlers who can hold their own in a fight. Reality Shows. Wagering on reality shows is also extremely popular in the world of entertainment betting. Reality TV, which includes competition shows, talent shows, and other contest shows, is a major source of entertainment for many Americans. Thanks to its nature of weekly and even daily airing, as well as it being (supposedly) unscripted, bettors can make all kinds of wagers. Who gets eliminated, at what round will the contestant be eliminated, and who wins the season are some of the examples of entertainment betting on reality TV. Like betting on TV series, you can also make futures and prop bets on reality shows. Futures betting lines, like show winners, are placed early during the show’s start and are adjusted weekly for accuracy. Who is the Next American Idol? Some eccentric prop bets can also be placed during the start of the show, for example: Which Judge will Leave first? There are even prop bets on what the gender of the next winner will be, or what song will be performed for the season finale. Reality Shows Popular in Entertainment Betting: America’s Got Talent The Voice American Idol The Bachelor Big Brother Dancing with the Stars Survivor X-Factor Masterchef Let’s Dance. Movies. Usually, entertainment betting on movies gets mixed up with Awards betting (Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and more). However, there are other ways of betting on movies that don’t include wagering on whether they win an award or not. Some examples of entertainment bets on movies: Which actor will next take up the mantle of 007 and become the next James Bond? Betting over/under on the movie’s box office (whether it will go over or under a certain amount as set by the bookmakers) Betting over/under on a movie’s ratings on Rotten Tomatoes (ex: over 90% or under 90% in the Tomatometer) The first is an example of a fun prop bet, while the rest are Over/Under or Totals bets, which are also offered in sports betting. Awards. Betting on Award shows is probably the most popular type of entertainment betting. An example of this is betting on who wins Best Actor or Best Director, or which movie wins the Best Picture. Still, awards betting isn’t limited to just motion pictures, television, or even music awards. There’s also betting on sports awards and even humanity awards. Listed below are the most common awards shows that sports betting sites offer entertainment betting odds for: Awards Shows for Movies and Television. The Academy Awards or Oscars Primetime Emmy Awards Golden Globes MTV Movie Awards BAFTAs Razzies. Music Awards. MTV VMAs Grammy Awards Brit Awards Tony Awards Mercury Prize. Other Awards. Time’s Person of the Year Nobel Prize. Betting on the Oscars is the most popular form of entertainment betting. It involves wagering on the possible nominations, winners, and even who the host will be. Whether a specific movie will be nominated for best picture Whether a foreign director will be nominated for best director Whether a foreign film will win the best picture. Betting odds for the winners of an award will have futures odds. There are also quirky prop bets. You can wager that a certain actress will wear a black dress, or whether the winner for Best Supporting Actor will give a lengthy acceptance speech. Contest. Contests are also popular among entertainment bettors, especially for annual competitions such as: Miss Universe Miss America Eurovision. People even bet on Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, as well as the National Spelling Bee. For contest betting, you can make futures bets and wager on who you think will be the contest’s winner. However, you can also make prop bets on whether a specific contestant will be wearing braces or glasses. For Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, there are even Over/Under or Totals bets on the number of total hot dogs consumed by contestants! Bookmakers get creative when it comes to entertainment betting, which shows why many bettors are trying their luck on these types of wagers.
How to Read American Odds in Sports Betting. Ethan Miller/Getty Images. Pictured: Westgate SuperBook. Table of Contents 1. How to Read American Odds 2. American Odds in Spreads vs. Moneylines 3. Why You’re Risking More 4. How to Calculate Payouts. That little -110 next to your desired bet at a sportsbook? It might be old hat to experienced sports bettors in the United States, but it’s not what most see around the world, and it probably won’t make sense to most new bettors. That’s because this format is called American odds , and it’s only used in the United States. American odds are less intuitive than decimal odds, but they’re the default option at any U.S. sportsbook. Here’s how to read American odds if you’re new to sports betting. How to Read American Odds. American odds are centered around winning or wagering $100 on a given bet. If You’re Betting a Favorite: The odds for favorites will have a minus (-) sign in front, and indicate the money you need to risk to win $100 . So if you’re betting on the Yankees at -130, you need to risk $130 and will win $100 if New York wins the game (plus your original $130 back). Of course, you don’t always want to bet $100. American odds can scale up or down based on your bet size. It might be easier to think in terms of dollars instead of $100’s. So for every $1.30 risked on the Yankees in this game, you’d win $1. For every $1 risked on the Red Sox, you’d win $1.10. American Odds in Spreads vs. Moneylines. When you’re trying to bet on sports, you’ll see American odds everywhere. But there are two different ways they’re used: On their own, like for a moneyline (which just requires you to pick the winner of the game). With a point spread or other line, like an over/under. The team you bet still needs to cover the spread, but the American odds indicate how much you need to risk for that bet. Let’s use Penn State vs. Ohio State in college football as an example, with odds from DraftKings. American odds on their own. Ohio State is the perceived stronger team in this game, so the Buckeyes are the favorite at DraftKings. Based on these odds, Ohio State is expected to win about 70% of the time. To bet Ohio State -250 to win, you’ll have to risk $2.5 for every $1 you want to win. Remember, OSU just needs to win the game. Since the moneyline just requires you to pick a winner, we only need the odds. We don’t need a point spread or line of any kind. American odds next to a point spread or over/under. The second way American odds are used is next to a corresponding line, like a point spread or over/under. The odds dictate how much you have to risk, but not what needs to happen for you to win the bet. You only have to risk $1.10 for every $1 you want to win when betting Ohio State -6.5, but it has to win the game by at least 7 points. Most of the time, football and basketball spreads will be -110 — just a 10% tax on your bet — since the spread makes things equal. For lower-scoring sports, the point spreads will be low (often -1.5) but the odds on each side will be different, because it’s harder for a baseball, soccer or hockey team to win by multiple goals. Why Do I Have to Risk More on The Favorite Than I’ll Win on the Underdog? Risking $2.5 for every $1 you want to win on Ohio State seems unfair when you’d only get paid $2 for every $1 you want to risk on Penn State. This gap in odds is what’s called juice or vigorish — it’s essentially the tax a sportsbook charges for taking your action. Over thousands of bets, this tax adds up and makes it difficult for most bettors to become profitable. How To Calculate My Bet With American Odds. Over time, figuring out how much -120 returns when you risk $60 (it’s $50) will become second nature. And sportsbooks from PointsBet to William Hill always calculate your bets automatically. You can also use our odds converter. But if you want to figure out your bet amounts on your own, here is the simple math. The basic formulas vary slightly depending on if you’re betting a favorite or an underdog. There are two ways to calculate each, based on either how much you want to wager or how much you want to win. Favorite Method No. 1: The first method is calculating how much you want to win. Let’s say you want to win $25 betting on the Yankees at -130 — you’re willing to risk a little more money to get the $25. Enter $25 as the win amount and -130 as the moneyline into the following formula. You’ll arrive at $32.50, meaning you need to risk that much to win $25. Win Amount * ((-1 * Moneyline) / 100) $25 * (130/100) = $32.50. Favorite Method No. 2: The second method is calculating how much you will win if you wager a certain amount. Let’s say you’re only comfortable wagering $25 on the Yankees at -130, knowing you’ll profit a little less if they win. Enter $25 as the win amount and -130 as the moneyline into the following formula. You’ll arrive at $19.23. Wager Amount * ((100/(Moneyline * -1)) $25 * (100 / (-130 * -1)) = $19.23. Underdog Method No. 1: There are similarly two options for underdogs. The first is calculating how much you want to win based on a set bet amount. Wager * (Moneyline / 100) $40 x (230 / 100) = $92. Underdog Method No. 2: The second option is calculating how much you need to bet to win a certain amount. Win Amount / (Moneyline / 100) $100 / (230 / 100) = $43.48.

The Kansas City Chiefs wil meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Feb. 7, 2021. The Chiefs opened as -3.5 betting favorites while the Buccaneers are 3.5 underdogs. After early wagers came in, most operators are holding Kansas City -3 (-120). If you were to wager on Kansas City -3, you would have to lay 5/6 odds (Bet $120 to win $100) instead of your normal 10/11 juice (Bet $110 to win $100). The return on Tampa Bay would be even-money (1/1) and a $100 wager would return $100. The total or over-under on Super Bowl 55 is hovering between 56 and 57 points. How to read NFL Las Vegas Odds. The point-spread was developed to provide a balance for both teams involved in a contest to entice bettors to potentially back the weaker team and receive points. The two squads in a game are listed with a title, either a favorite or an underdog. The favorite is usually the perceived better team in the game, as backing them means giving up several points. Ex. Examples seen on the NFL Vegas Odds pages could include -08 , -12 , -15 and -20 . The -10 price is the most common value in the industry while many books offer reduced 'juice odds' and that would fall into the -08 category. We know that you can bet on the Super Bowl and all of NFL Futures or bet on the NFL Draft at any time of the year, but what’s the process? The future wager or the “Odds to Win” bet on the Super Bowl is correctly selecting a team to win an event that takes place at a later time. A bettor will have his wagered money tied up until there is an outcome and bettors will receive fixed odds when they place the wager. In the case of the Super Bowl, you’re not a winner or loser until you see zeros on the clock in the final game. Most sportsbooks offer different ways to read to Super Bowl Odds. In the fractional NFL Futures Odds format below, you simply take the odds and multiply by the amount wagered. Ex. Green Bay (8/1) to win the Super Bowl. The Packers are listed as an 8/1 betting choice to win the Super Bowl. If you wager $100 on Green Bay to win the NFC and they capture the championship, then you would win $800 (8 ÷ 1 x 100). Your online betting account would then credit your account $900, which includes your win and stake ($100). Sports Betting News. Ecks & Bacon. Feel The Sizzle. Las Vegas - Welcome to PROP CITY BAABBBEEE. Our Super Bowl pick is coming tomorrow, but we gotta drop a few more prop wagers in your basket. Start with Patrick Mahomes and the Over/Under on total TD passes. It's listed at 2.5 which is kind of STEALING MONEY! Mahomes threw 38 TD passes during the regular season in 15 games which averages out to exactly 2.5 per game. In the game at Tampa back in November, he threw three TD passes and will come out firing on Sunday since the Bucs rush defense is the BEST in the NFL. Gimme Patrick Over for the money! Like Over 6.5 total touchdowns. You'll have to lay a little juice depending on where you shop, maybe -$130 or so, but these two offenses are DYNAMIC and should put at least 7 TDs on the board! Gonna close out our visit to Prop City with a little cross-sport action. The prop is, which be higher: Travis Kelce receiving yards (-$240), or, the highest round score at the Masters (+$200). Gotta drop my chips on Kelce and lay the big price. He gobbled up 109 yards against the Browns in the Divisional Round and 118 yards against the Bills in the AFC Championship game. There has NEVER been a round over 100 at the Masters. Actually, 95 was highest ever by Charlie Kunkle back in 1956. If you're not familiar with 'Kunk,' check this out. He was a World War II veteran, a basketball captain at Duke, the president of the minor-league hockey team that would inspire “Slap Shot” and a friend of Arnold Palmer. So, thinking that 'Kunk's' record round of 95 will be safe for at least another year, and Kelce is bound to find close to or over 100 yards for the third straight game. Gimme Travis for the money! Of course, we will be LIVE tweeting during the game, @vegasvigorish, and there will be some really sweet money-making spots along the way. JOIN A PARTNERSHIP IN PROFIT! Allen Eastman has been a professional handicapper and bookie since 1979. He started betting football back in 1969 at the age of 19. When he was 29 years old, he started a small book business in which he served more than 100 clients. During that time, he made many connections at different books in New York, Chicago and Detroit. He came in contact with a handful of sharp bettors that bet $5,000 to $20,000 per game. In 1995, he sold his book business to a local, who in turn became one of the biggest local bookies in the nation. To this day, Eastman gets key information on where the smart money is coming in on crucial games. That type of information is priceless in this industry. Because of his time on the "other side of the counter", Eastman knows all about how lines are made and why they move. He developed a system that tells him what the line will be before it is released and he is correct in 80 percent of his opening line predictions. For the other 20 percent, well that is where he makes his profits. With his system, he sets a value for the difference between the line and what will happen in a game. Allen Eastman's Bio. This will be the Eleven year that he's bet these picks and the Tenth year that he has released them to clients. For the 2018 season he will be building on this system even further, adding new levels of sophistication to his already dizzying array of analysis. Eastman has won in the NFL in 21 out of 26 years. Chiefs vs. Bills player props, best bets, picks: Josh Allen goes under 306.5 passing yards in AFC Championship. SportsLine's model has simulated Sunday's 2021 AFC Championship Game 10,000 times and found the top prop bet values. The 2021 AFC Championship Game will pit two of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the NFL against each other as Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen go head-to-head in what many expect to be the first of several big postseason matchups. Despite Mahomes spending part of this past week in the concussion protocol, the NFL odds have remained steady with the Chiefs as three-point favorites. However, the total has jumped from 54 to 54.5 and there are several Chiefs vs. Bills player props from William Hill Sportsbook impacted by the news. The over-under for Mahomes' total passing yards is set at 314.5 in the latest 2021 AFC Championship Game prop odds. Mahomes managed just 225 passing yards in a 26-17 win against Buffalo in Week 6. So which side of the Mahomes prop should you be on and what other NFL player props should you jump on in Sunday's AFC Championship Game? Before locking in any NFL prop bets for Sunday's 2021 AFC Championship Game, you need to see the Bills vs. Chiefs prop predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model. The model, which simulates every NFL game 10,000 times, is up almost $7,900 for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its inception five-plus years ago. It is a sizzling 24-14 on top-rated NFL picks this season, returning well over $800. The model also enters Wild Card Weekend on an incredible 120-78 run on top-rated NFL picks that dates back to the 2017 season. The model ranked in the Top 10 on NFLPickWatch three of the past four years on straight-up NFL picks and beat more than 95 percent of CBS Sports office pool players three times during that span. Anyone who has followed it is way up. With the 2021 AFC Championship Game on Sunday, the model has evaluated the NFL player props from William Hill and found five strong bets. You can only see them here. Top NFL player prop bets for 2021 AFC Championship Game. The model says Allen goes well under 306.5 passing yards (-115), predicting that he throws for nearly 50 yards less than that on average. Allen put himself in MVP contention with 4,544 passing yards and 37 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions, while rushing for another 421 yards and eight scores. He might be the most improved player in the league after making enormous strides as a passer in his third year as a starter. However, recent trends and the matchups don't seem to bode well with such a lofty target yardage in play here. Allen threw the ball 37 times last week in a win over the Ravens, but a tough defense and windy conditions left him with only 206 passing yards at the end of the day. That's the second time in three games he's failed to clear 225 passing yards and the forecast for Sunday calls for temperatures in the 30s, possible precipitation and double-digit winds as he takes on a Chiefs defense that held him to 122 passing yards in Week 6. Because of that, Singletary is at the mercy of what the flow of the game presents to him and he's failed to record three or more receptions in half of the games he's played this year. That includes a one-catch performance where he was only targeted twice in Week 6 against Kansas City. With a plus-money payout, there's plenty of value on the under even though he's had exactly three catches in both of Buffalo's playoff games. How to make NFL player prop bets for Chiefs vs. Bills. In addition, the model is high on a first-touchdown prop that delivers a huge return. You need to see the model's analysis before making any 2021 AFC Championship Game prop bets for Sunday. Which Chiefs vs. Bills prop bet offers a huge return? And what other prop bets does the model love for Sunday's 2021 AFC Championship Game? Visit SportsLine now to see the top AFC Championship Game prop bets, all from the model that's up almost $7,900 on top-rated NFL picks.

Super Bowl 2021 betting preview: Best bets and odds on points spread, props and more. The Super Bowl will attract billions of dollars of bets as the Buccaneers battle the Chiefs for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Article bookmarked. Find your bookmarks in your Independent Premium section, under my profile. The Super Bowl is here and Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcome Patrick Mahomes and defending champions Kansas City Chiefs to their own home to decide who lifts the Vince Lombardi Trophy. While the action on the field is of interest from a sporting sense, the big game draws an enormous amount of interest from the gambling industry, pulling in many casual fans, with data showing approximately 26 million Americans will wager on the game in some capacity for a total of around $7 billion (£5.1 billion). Betfair spokesman Sam Rosbottom confirmed that 90 per cent of bets last year, when the Chiefs upset the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LIV, came on the Sunday itself, while he also confirmed from the bookies’ perspective, Brady and the Bucs causing the upset would be the worst-case scenario given their popularity with punters - with some of them able to match the Bucs before the season started at 74/1 for a mega payout. There is not just the action on the field to consider when making a bet, you can find a wager on pretty much anything surrounding the event as a whole: including the national anthem, sung by Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan, the half-time concert by The Weeknd and even what colour the Gatorade bath will be for the winning coach.
Who will win the Masters in 2020? Odds, betting favorites, expert picks & more to know. It may be several months late, but the 2020 Masters is finally here, bringing it with several enticing storylines and betting odds. That starts with Bryson DeChambeau , the favorite to win at Augusta National Golf Club after his win in the 2020 U.S. Open in September. His power-based approach to the game has been controversial to say the least, but you can't deny its effectiveness in recent outings. Other golfers to look out for include 2020 FedEx Cup Champion Dustin Johnson, world No. 2 Jon Rahm and, of course, Tiger Woods — the 2019 champion looking for not only his second consecutive Masters win but also his record-tying sixth green jacket. With that, here's everything you need to know to bet on the 2020 Masters, including odds and past winners: Who will win the Masters Tournament in 2020? Masters Tournament odds 2020. Masters expert picks. Masters Tournament winners by year. Tiger enters the 2020 Masters looking for the tournament's first back-to-back championship since he won it all in 2001 and '02. Another win would give him his fifth overall win at Augusta since 2000 (he also won in 2005). Only Phil Mickelson (three) and Bubba Watson (two) have won multiple Masters tournaments since 2000. Below are the winners of the last 20 Masters, and their winning scores:
Masters 2020 betting tips and odds: Dustin Johnson worth punt as Tiger Woods attempts to defend his title at Augusta. 12 Nov 2020, 16:59 Updated : 12 Nov 2020, 16:59. THE Masters has finally arrived – seven months after it was originally scheduled to take place – and Augusta is going to look a little different this time around. Tiger Woods will finally get to defend his green jacket, but can he add to his 15 major championships? Betfair: Get 100/1 McIlroy to win US Masters. 100/1 Rory McIlroy to win the 2020 US Masters with Betfair. At 25/1 he’s not a bad price, but there’s a reason he’s so long right now… Woods missed the cut at Winged Foot and finished T72 at the Zozo Championship last month in his only two events of the new PGA Tour calendar. And all the talk is about favourite and US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau. Bulked-up DeChambeau has been on a rampage since packing on the pounds and breaking records off the tee. Masters 2020 outright winner odds. Bryson DeChambeau: 15/2. Rory McIlroy: 11/1. Justin Thomas: 12/1. Dustin Johnson: 12/1. Xander Schauffele: 14/1. Brooks Koepka: 18/1. Patrick Cantlay: 20/1. Patrick Reed: 25/1. Tiger Woods: 25/1. Bubba Watson: 25/1. And he’s even threatening to debut his new 48inch driver which he’s been carrying over 400 yards with in preparation. And while DeChambeau’s distance will be an advantage at Augusta National he may be too short a price at 15/2 to tempt you in. SunSport's David Facey tipped 30/1 Collin Morikawa at the PGA Championship earlier this year, and has given us his top picks for The Masters with odds correct at the time of publish. Most read in Golf. SHOULDER THE PAIN. PAIGE TURNER. PHIL'D OUT. LOST FOR WORDS. MICK ATTACK. dressing down. Hot shots. Dustin Johnson. The world No 1 - who celebrated his £11.2m FedEx Cup win with stunning fiancee Paulina - may have benefited from his enforced break after being diagnosed with coronavirus. He will be fresher than most at Augusta. In sizzling form before his break, with five successive top six finishes, including a win at The Northern Trust, where he lapped the field. Odds: 12-1. Jon Rahm. About time he took a Major by the scruff of the neck, and a tied fourth at Augusta in 2018 followed by another top ten finish last year suggests this is the course where he could do it. Two wins since the shutdown ended, and also finished a close second in his final warm-up event. Odds: 11-1. Live contenders. Patrick Reed. On the radar for a second Masters win since he bagged a World Golf Championship title in Mexico at the start of the year. Looked the likely winner midway through the third round of the US Open, before suffering a meltdown. Can't see the same thing happening at Augusta. Odds: 25-1. Xander Schauffele. It was a toss-up between him and fellow American Patrick Cantlay, and if the Masters had been down the road at East Lake, Schauffele would have been an even stronger fancy. But the world No 7 could still go one better than his share of second at Augusta last year. Odds: 14-1. Outsiders. Lanto Griffin. A deadly putter who seems to have the ideal temperament for Augusta – probably inherited from his ‘hippy’ parents. Last year’s Houston Open winner was right in the mix among a world class field at the Zozo before slipping back with a closing 72. That experience will have toughened him up. Odds: 150-1. Abraham Ancer. The fearless Mexican has not added to his 2018 Australian Open win, but three runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour in the last 15 months suggests his next victory cannot be far away. He has moved quietly to the brink of the world’s top twenty, and will hold nothing back at Augusta. Odds: 80/1. *Terms and conditions: *New customers only. The Masters 2020 betting odds and tips: Who is going to win at Augusta? Bryson DeChambeau is the likeliest with bookmakers after his US Open victory earlier this year. Article bookmarked. Find your bookmarks in your Independent Premium section, under my profile. The Masters returns to Augusta with a multitude of uncertainties, with the November weather, conditions and lack of spectators promising a unique experience for the world’s best players. However, the favourites to clinch the Green Jacket remain some of the sport’s most recognisable. Unsurprisingly, it is Bryson DeChambeau (7/1), whose big-hitting revolution led to an impressive victory at the US Open, who is the clear leader with bookmakers. Yet, a full-strength field boasts several contenders, with Jon Rahm (9/1) and Justin Thomas (11/1) both in fine form heading to Georgia. Xander Schauffele (14/1), who finished in tied-second last year, will also have high hopes of clinching his maiden major victory. Rory McIlroy (11/1) arrives somewhat under the radar but still highly touted as he attempts to complete his career Grand Slam, while Bubba Watson (22/1) has shown glimpses of recapturing the spectacular form which has already seen him win twice at Augusta. Bryson DeChambeau is a firm favourite at Augusta. Who will win The Masters this year? Here are our top picks heading into the tournament: Favourites. Independent Rugby Newsletter. Live Rugby union coverage direct to your inbox every week. Independent Rugby Newsletter. Live Rugby union coverage direct to your inbox every week. Bryson DeChambeau: The obvious favourite heading into the tournament, whose length can remove so much difficulty, while his putting is formidable and often under-celebrated. Xander Schauffele: A runner-up last year, who has finished in the top-five in half of his appearances at the majors. One of the game’s brightest talents, for whom a first major feels a case of when rather than if. Brooks Koepka (12/1): His odds have shortened dramatically over the weekend, after a brilliant finish at the Houston Open. He has struggled with injury, but his reputation for rising to the occasion at majors is indisputable, and it would be foolish to rule him out. Tyrrell Hatton (22/1): Englishman has been in tremendous form recently, winning the BMW PGA, and certainly has the mentality for the majors. He will have to overcome an unspectacular record at Augusta, though, in his three appearances thus far. Outsiders. Patrick Reed (22/1): Impressed at the recent Zozo Championship and crucially has the experience of having already won at Augusta. Has struggled with his swing at times, but is one of the most deadly players from inside 100 yards. Bubba Watson: The enigmatic American treats Augusta as a second home, having won the Green Jacket twice already, and is slowly recapturing the form which made him such a unique threat almost a decade ago. He comes into the tournament off the back of two top-10 finishes. Scottie Scheffler (40/1): A prodigious amateur, Scheffler has made a fantastic breakthrough on the PGA Tour and has all the distinguishing qualities of the modern player. A tied-fourth finish at the PGA Championship proved his credentials. Louis Oosthuizen (50/1): A second placed finish at Winged Foot surprised many, with the South African enjoying something of a purple patch. Has finished inside the top 30 at Augusta in five of the last six years, as well as a second place finish in 2012. Odds in full for top-40 contenders. Dustin Johnson - 17/2. Rory McIlroy - 11/1.
